Runaway Future

maybe I’ll sleep inside my coat

So to recap on the work that I have to do/had to do.

I’ve done one article for HF out of two due on the 13th. That’s decent progress.

I have been unable to get much progress with anything at work, and right now I’m of the feeling that I refuse to do work from work at home. It’s going to make next week that much more uncomfortable, but I care little. I having a hard time motivating myself for work and it’s just as easy to blame that all on everyone else going back to class. My mocking MSN names when I am at the office are much more for my sake then anyone elses. I’m locked in my unchanging bubble, the world streaming around me. I can pause my life at this level forever…

Last night walking home from “the Big Dirty” Dartmouth, I ran into two Shelburnians heading for the Pogue, for a quiet drink, saying it’s better then the busy scene. I should of gone with, I should of agreed, it was exactly what I wanted and what I needed. Instead I came home.
I like the ferry, I should think that I will ride it more often.

To close, this is an open invitation to anyone and everyone who sees these words and is within a Metro Transit ticket or two away to join me in something, anything at the Atlantic Film Festival. There’s plenty I want to see (Trudeau II, The Life & Hard Times of Guy Terrifico, a plethora of the Terry Gilliam tribute movies and the Canadian Documentary Shorts). I’ll even be nice and go to something that doesn’t strike me if you wish. Would-be-inspired minds apply within.

  1. I’d be interested in catching one of the Gilliam flicks, ideally 12 Monkeys, as I’ve not seen it.

Little – known fact: both the movie and REMs song What’s The Frequency Kenneth? are based of the same real-life crazy person.

  2. The only hangup with the Gilliam films are that they’re all on at 5pm on weekdays. For a 8:30 to 4:30-5:00ish working man, it’s a bit of a stretch. I mean, I can swing it because I can spit from my office and hit Park Lane.

  3. I hadn’t noticed the 5pm part, which really bites for me. I’m considerably more than spitting distance from park lane, unless you know somone who can spit ~40km.
